Full User Manual
The complete IndexesIQ manual covers all three panes in detail — Heatmap, Performance and Derivative Strategies. Includes worked examples and a full description of all settings and controls. Available online or as a PDF.
The Heatmap pane provides a visual overview of long-term risk and return across global market indexes. Colour-coded cells allow you to instantly identify which markets have delivered the strongest returns and where volatility has been highest — across different time horizons and asset classes.
Sort by any column to rank markets by performance, volatility or correlation. Filter by asset class to focus on equities, FX, commodities or interest rates. All returns can be currency-aligned and inflation-adjusted.
The Performance pane lets you explore the historical return of individual indexes over customisable time periods. Chart cumulative growth, compare multiple markets side by side, and examine how compounding affects long-term outcomes.
Switch between performance, underwater (drawdown), overlay and risk/return views. Adjust for inflation and currency to compare markets on a level playing field.
The Derivatives pane lets you build, simulate and backtest derivative index strategies across the four main strategy categories — capital protection, yield enhancement, participation and leverage.
Analyse pay-off profiles and probability distributions of profits and losses. Use the time-machine function to see how a strategy's distribution changes during its lifetime. Run historical backtests comparing multiple strategies on the same underlying index, including barrier hits and roll-over simulations.
